My name is Alessandro Pellegata and I am currently a Research Fellow at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan. I am involved in the ERC project "Reconciling economic and social Europe: values, ideas and politics (REScEU) supervised by prof. Maurizio Ferrera. Previously, I had a research fellowship at the University of Siena, Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences.
My main research interests are in the field of comparative politics, in particular electoral competition, political representation, public opinion and political corruption.
In the REScEU project I supervised the conduction of a public opinion and an elite survey in seven EU member states. Furthermore, I coordinate the content production of the public opinion section of EUVisions.
My research also focuses on the evolution of the Italian legislative process. I am a member of the Centre for the Observation of Legislatures (COoL) and one of the co-founder and the principal manager of the Italian Law-Making Archive (ILMA).
